About
Our Farm, Our Story
Victoria Amelia Leitch
Owner - Floral Stylist - Grower
Growing up, Victoria spent much of her time in her Nana and Poppa’s country garden in North West Auckland, which was filled with rose beds and annuals. She has the fondest memories of helping her Nana tend to the extensive flower beds. This is where her passion for botanicals first started.
Her parents also had an apple orchard which grew different types of blooms which were sold in their fruit shop in Whenuapai. Working with nature and harvesting its beauty was a daily part of Victoria’s life growing up and she feels so very lucky to continue to do so.
Prior to starting a family, Victoria established a successful boutique wedding floral business, specialising in exquisite bridal flowers. Before this, Victoria had worked for more than 10 years in a handful of Auckland’s successful florists and for both corporate and private clients in the UK and Japan.
After a few busy years with Willoughby Road and now juggling life with three children, Victoria finally felt the time was right to start planting her dream flower farm in the soil in which she played as a child, and so her dream of growing and supplying flowers was born.
Willoughby Road Flower Farm employs local people who are able to bring their children into this unique work environment. They all work together as a team to prepare the land and work together to grow the flowers from seeds to beautiful blooms.
